Big Hitter Sonny Bill

Sonny Bill Williams was today recognised by his opposing players as the ‘best hitter’ but ‘fairest hitter’ in the game.

Sonny Bill is noted for his massive big tackle hits. However Sonny Bill rarely gets wraps for how well he takes punishment dished out.

In todays NRL, most players will stay down when hit hard in the hope they can get a penalty when the video refereee checks the play.

Sonny Bill Williams is very tough in his own right, taking the hits dished out to him and rarely staying down to attract a penalty.

While Sonny still possibly tries too many shoulder charges – he is slowly learning these aren’t ideal especially in defensive situations where a missed shoulder charge can cost a try.
