Sonny Bill Williams Footy Card

Select 2007 the makers of ‘Football Cards’ also known as ‘Footy Cards’ or ‘Trading Cards’ – have released a 2007 Champions series for their NRL set of footy cards.
We were able to obtain the Sonny Bill Williams ‘Gold Champion’ card, which is in limited release and we have a scan of the card (shown below):
As you can see, the card shows a ‘hand drawn’ portrait of Sonny Bill Williams, and also an action drawing of the Bulldogs star.
Value of this card is unknown at this stage, due to the early stages in trading. The numbering details on the rear of the card state: ‘SK3′ which obviously confirms its position in the Select 2007 NRL trading card set.
In other Sonny Bill Williams news, the Kiwi star remains low key – keeping out of the spotlight since his recent episode in Cronulla where he urinated in public.
We look forward to continuing to see good form from Sonny at the Bulldogs, as they crushed Manly last week and face the hapless Sydney Roosters this week in NRL Monday night football.
Sonny Bill and Willie Tonga Fight

A rumored physical fight between Bulldogs stars Willie Tonga and Sonny Bill Williams apparently never took place, according to Newspaper reports today. With SMH and NRL rumour man Danny Weidler taking up the issue in his Sunday column.
Speculation was rife early in the week that the religious Willie Tonga and superstar Sonny Bill Williams had a fist fight at an Eastern Suburbs hotel recently, but Sonny Bill Williams has said this not to be true.
SBW has said the pair had very heated words at each other, but the rift is since been put in the past and both Williams and Tonga have moved on.
The Bulldogs have gotten on with things also, beating the highly fancied Manly Sea Eagles on Friday night, with Sonny Bill Williams and Tonga having good games to help their team launch a late season campaign.
Sonny Bill Williams Gone Quiet

The headlines Sonny Bill Williams has generated in the past few weeks have gone quiet in the past 24 hours with the big forward smartly keeping to himself as things settle down on the news front.
As the Bulldogs continue to extinguish flames, Sonny Bill has rightly kept to himself. SBW’s promise to get off the wagon and remain totally dry – seems ultimately the best move for the talented Kiwi.
Sonny Bill Williams off the drink also means less time around nightclubs and trouble spots – where popular NRL players can be targeted by unruly fans. Joe Public after a few beers, regularly comes up and starts trouble with NRL players – as their high profile makes them easy pickings for thugs and drunks.
Sonny Bill Williams has a great girl in Gemma Shaw – and this must mean the Kiwi will have more time for his Kiwi girl.

Sonny Bill Williams Teammate Roberts Calls Fans

The Bulldogs teammate of Sonny Bill Williams, Ben Roberts – also a Kiwi boom rookie, has today rung fans of the Bulldogs to apologise for his drink driving affair from the weekend.
Like Sonny Bill Williams, Roberts was caught out on the weekend for silly offences. Just like Sonny Bill was a year earlier, Roberts was arrested for drink driving the morning after a big night out. As Sonny Bill was being fined by urinating at Cronulla, team mate Roberts was close to being pulled over.
As the saga continues for the Bulldogs, a disappointed fan called Malcom Noad and asked for an explanation. Ben Roberts then picked up the phone and called the fan and his family direct. Explaining how sorry he was for the mistake and how he plans to make up for it in the future.
Lets hope, Sonny Bill Williams, Ben Roberts and all the Bulldogs can get their act together and get on with playing some Rugby League football. They are gifted and a joy to watch in the NRL, so things like photos in the toilet cubicle with Candice Falzon, weeing at Cronulla and drink driving crimes are just not on.
Come on boys – get it together!

Sonny Bill Williams and Bulldogs under fire

The continued fall out from the Sonny Bill Williams urinating affair continues as the Bulldogs face more internal turmoil. The Bulldogs also had to deal with Sonny Bill’s teammate – Ben Roberts being caught for drink driving the morning after a big night.
Roberts was already on shakey ground for previous curfew breaking incidents and Bulldogs CEO Malcom Noad needs to make some hard decisions right now. The Bulldogs would never cut a player such as Sonny Bill Williams, so it does send a message of invincibility which the other players surely must pickup on.
The problems at the Dogs are coming to the surface more and more, with Corey Hughes, Mark O’Meley, Luke Patten all having incidents in the past 2 years. Steve Folkes must be furious with all these side issues, as the form of the Bulldogs has suffered badly.
Sonny Bill Williams pee’ing in Cronulla is only set to make things harder for him and the Bulldogs. Sonny, please settle it down – and maybe consider partying inter-state in Adelaide or Perth where NRL players are not under the spotlight as much.

Sonny Bill Williams Urinates in Public

Sonny Bill Williams was again in the spotlight for the wrong reasons on the weekend. After a night on the town in Cronulla, Sonny Bill Williams left nightclub ‘Fusion’ and was caught by Police urinating in public along the Cronulla corso.
After spending time in the Cronulla nightclub Fusion, Sonny Bill was allegedly hassled inside by local club goers. When Sonny Bill Williams left the club, he was allegedly under the affect of alcohol and did a ‘wee’ in public.
Ouch! Big Sonny Bill is already feeling the wrath of the public from the recent pictures with Candice Falzon – the photos of the two creating massive public interest. Sonny Bill has now spoken of abstaining from alcohol until he gets his life together.
We hope this latest incident doesn’t distract Sonny Bill Williams from his great form recently in the position of lock forward at the Bulldogs.
Sonny Bill’s NRL Build Up

The most recent form of NRL star Sonny Bill Williams continues to improve, as he again impressed for the Bulldogs this weekend.
While the Bulldogs were beaten by the Broncos, the Canterbury side (in pink socks for cancer fund raising) toiled hard and were shown the way by the new look Sonny Bill.
Sonny Bill really looks to be set and comfortable in the position of lock forward and will make it hard for teammate Reni Matuia to slot back into his old position.
We again saw a silky smooth passing Sonny Bill as opposed to a bash and barge and repetitive role. This new role is also safer for the longevity of Sonny Bill and the Kiwi star is beginning to get good game time, fitness and durability from a long run of consistent NRL games.
The signs are good for an impressive year from Sonny Bill, sadly the Bulldogs aren’t looking so hot and need some other players to put their hand up and get in on the act.
Origin needs Sonny Bill Williams

Where was Sonny Bill Williams as the NSW Blues lost their game 2 of the State of Origin series in 2007.
We all know Sonny Bill is a kiwi, and of course is ineligible for Origin selection. The QLD Maroons are lucky enough to have Karmichael Hunt as their custodian, the junior Kiwi picking Australia over his native New Zealand.
As a NSW Blues man, I wish we could have stolen Sonny Bill and made him eligible for Origin. His silky skills and most notably big hits and enforcement would be ideal for the NSW Blues side.
Sonny Bill is a figure feared when on the park, much like the QLD have in Tony Carroll, Carl Webb and Neville Costigan.
So Sonny if you ever want to start playing State of Origin, NSW will welcome you with open arms!

Sonny Bill bumps into Candice Falzon

Recently Sonny Bill Williams bumped into Candice Falzon, this being the first time the two celebrities have seen each other since the Clovelly Hotel – toilet session otherwise referred to as Dunny Bill Williams – as the two celebs got caught by other punters, with photos from a camera phone snapping shots of Sonny Bill Williams and Candice Falzon in the cubicle of the hotel.
Apparently it was very ‘icey’ when the two celeb’s bumped into each other again, only a few words being exchanged and apparently all heated. The looks told the story as both parties moved away and ignored the other soon after.
Williams has been told by girlfriend Gemma Shaw to steer clear of ice maiden Candice Falzon, and the Falzon camp has told her to certainly keep clear of the human headline Sonny Bill Williams.
This time sadly there were no pictures and they would have possibly been as juicy as the first round!
